FAQ

Is it free to join?

Yes, the Anchor Miles Club is completely free for all Gateway customers. No signup fees, no monthly charges, no minimums.

How are miles calculated?

Miles are based on real nautical miles between your origin and destination ports. Port-to-port shipments earn actual NM, door-to-door shipments earn 1.5x NM as a bonus.

Do tier miles expire?

Tier miles are permanent and never decrease, even when you spend redeemable miles. Your rank is yours to keep.

What is the difference between tier miles and redeemable miles?

Every mile you earn counts twice: once toward your permanent tier progress, and once into a spendable balance. Spending miles in the Reward Shop never lowers your rank.

What shipments qualify?

Every delivered and paid FCL (Full Container Load) ocean freight shipment booked through Gateway earns miles. LCL shipments do not earn miles.

How do streaks work?

Deliver at least 5 FCL containers every month to keep your streak alive. Each consecutive month grows your streak multiplier, up to 2x at 5 months, stacking on top of your tier multiplier.

Can I use miles for shipping?

Yes. Redeemable miles can be applied as shipping credits directly to your next Gateway shipment, reducing your freight costs.

How do referrals work?

Refer a new customer to Gateway and you both earn 50,000 nautical miles when their first shipment completes. There is no limit on referrals.
